House Sitter in Washington, District of Columbia

We are one part French and one part American :-). The French one is Fabien and the American is Lauren. We love to travel and are always looking to meet new people and their furry family since our traveling doesn't allow us to have any of our own. Lauren is a lifelong animal lover and has experience working in animal cruelty cases where she's grown to value the sensitivity of leaving a vulnerable family member in the hands of someone else and always takes such responsibility to heart. Lauren has cared for almost every kind of breed of dog, cats, and small mammals. Additionally, she has had some experience with birds and reptiles. Fabien is the green thumb of the two and has been known to revive a weeping brown thing into a vibrant green CO2 lover in no time. We believe in always leaving things better than how we found them and thus we are clean, smoke and drug-free, and careful with others' belongings. Lauren is a public servant working for Anne Arundel County in Maryland. As a lawyer, she sees people at their worst moments and tries to make sense of their current life predicament. As a result, she has been seeking positive energy in other aspects of life. Right now we are exploring a minimalist lifestyle and using this year as a pilot for a life of full-time travel. For the last couple of years, Fabien has developed a small business working remotely assisting other small businesses with SEO and website development. While his business pays the bills, Fabien has a passion for the sport of squash; coaching and organizing tournaments for years. Fabien grew up in the South Pacific on an island called New Caledonia. He's played squash his whole life and is always looking to share the sport with anyone who dares to ask..."now, what is squash exactly?" We love culinary experiences. Lauren does most of the cooking but date night usually includes both of us wearing an apron delighting our palates. We are both in our early 30's with no children and can't wait to meet you and your lovely home.
