House Sitter in Beaverton, Oregon

Hello. My name is Sam. I'm sixty-seven years old. Want to work one more year, till summer 2018, before retiring. I live in West Beaverton, the part City Of Hillsboro was supposed to annex but hasn't yet. Hope to find a job relatively close to home. While I have no experience as a house sitter, I'm certain I can go do a good job. I'll show up when I say I will. I'll do what ever needs doing and do it right. I'll get along famously with your cats and your plants. Your dog ... Well, maybe. I'll have to meet him before I agree to the job. For the last seventeen years, I worked for a company in Vancouver. I worked mostly from home, doing routine office work, primarily data entry. I did whatever needed doing: extensive typing, research, transferring files from whatever format they were in to Excel spreadsheets. The circumstances under which I left the company were unfortunate. A personality conflict with the second-in-command. She had wanted to get rid of me for a long time, and finally succeeded when the owner was out of town for a month. For that reason, I prefer not to identify the company, and I don't feel comfortable listing any employees there as references. I like to read, play cards, and write. In the nineties, I edited two newsletters, and wrote a lot of copy for them. I have experience writing both fiction and non-fiction, and also editing other people's writing. Please consider me when you need someone to look over your pets, plants, and property. If you need me to stay on-site, no problem.
