House Sitter in Washington, District of Columbia

I am a teacher/professor/tutor relocating to the Washington DC area in mid to late June 2017. I am a single mature non smoker woman without children. I am expecting to attend several interviews during the summer and I need to secure housing as soon as possibe. I currently live in Coral Springs Florida where I teach Middle school language art and French as well as high school ESL and French. I am in the process of writing a book and upon my arrival in DC, I will be employed half time teaching English online (from home) to Chinese children. I have a busy summer and 2017-201... school year ahead of me. I am not only new to the area and desirous to get acquainted with the city before renting, but I also want to keep my overhead at a bare minimum. I am trustworthy and reliable as well as extremely neat to the point of being meticulous. I am hoping to be able to house sit during my first 6 months (or so) in Washington DC. I am open to caring for pets (cats and small dogs OK), water plants and maintain a neat and clean home environment. I am a law-abiding citizen who has never gotten into any type of issue with the law and I take safety and security very seriously. As a teacher, I have to undergo rigorous background checks and the latest (November 2016) is available for you to review. While I am a friendly and charming extrovert who enjoys good wine, amazing conversation and a great book, I am also fiercely private and independent and I respect those qualities in others. I have had roommates in the past and I have learned to restrict my daily happenings to the confines of the space provided to me. Your home is your safe haven and you have to be careful to open your doors to those who will treat it as you do. Let's talk and see if we are a match. Cassandra
