House Sitter in Brooklyn, New York

I'm an
Individual
Looking to house sit September through December's end, possibly longer if space is available. My profile includes a summary, house sitting intent, neighborhoods, and my background. Summary: I am a PR and Artistic Development Consultant. Overall I am a dancer by love, an educator by trade, and a design thinker and researcher by peaked interest. I am very personable, cultivate relationships charmingly, have a great sense of humor, and can provide landlord and professional work references for character checks upon request. Intent: I've lived in New York for approximately 9 years, and am transitioning from my current living space. I am looking to save financially and in exchange-- care for someone's space keeping it alive, cleanly, nurtured and well. I am open to living in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Astoria, hoping for spaces located within a 10 minute walk to the subway. BK and NYC Neighborhoods: Neighborhoods I am looking to stay in include but are not limited to: Brooklyn-- Williamsburg, Park , Dumbo, Fort Greene, Downtown, Prospect Park/Heights, Bed Stuy, Bushwick (the theme: I'd like to stay close to the city). Manhattan-- Lower East Side, Lower West Side, Greenwich Village, Midtown, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Harlem, East Harlem. Astoria-- Anywhere in this neighborhood in close proximity to a train. Background: I moved from Chicago to NY in 2006 to work in corporate healthcare sales for CIGNA Group Insurance, after receiving my Bachelor's in Marketing from DePaul University. I then pursued my Master's at NYU, graduated with honors as Salutatorian, in Dance Education. From there I worked as an education manager for world renowned ballet company Dance Theatre of Harlem. And most recently I've taught dance for NYU, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Bank Street, and Friends Seminary. This past year a colleague and I received a grant from the CUNY Dance Initiative to launch our organization Dance To The People-- an itinerant dance company charged with using resources at hand to move the field forward through movement research, training and new ways of approaching choreography. My choeographic work has been featured in venues such as Alvin Ailey, Judson Church and The Royal Ballet School in Uganda, Africa. Thank you for your time.
