House Sitter in Boulder, Colorado

Hi there! My name is Eliot. I am a born-and-raised Coloradan looking for housesitting jobs in Denver and Boulder. I am an entrepreneur (cofounder of Myra Makes) and need to make some supplementary income to get me along as our bootstrapped business gains traction. I graduated from CU Boulder in May 2016 with a degree in Engineering Physics, and since then, have been self-employed working with people as an event/community organizer, tutor (elementary-college), and with a small stipend from an accelerator program hosted by CU last summer. I spent six months last year living in a cooperative house, demonstrating my ability to respect other people's spaces and keep things clean. Prior to my self-employment, I worked a variety of research jobs at the University of Colorado, while I was considering pursuing academia as a career. These included aerospace, mechanical, and chemical engineering. I can happily provide references from my current or previous home, from my work in research or from tutoring clients and event organizing. I love animals of all kinds and am also experienced taking care of plants. I grew up in a house with cats, dogs, fish and reptiles of various kinds, with an active role in taking care of them, some requiring a high level of attention. I also love to cook. While at CU, I volunteered at the biology greenhouse every week and at one point amassed a collection of over 30 plants (from succulents to orchids) at home. I also enjoy spending time outside, meditation, writing, and making art. I am available for overnight stays of any duration, simply getting the mail once a day, and everything in between.
