House Sitter in Washington, District of Columbia

Greetings! My name is Kim (A.K.A. Kiki). I am a writer who is looking to escape what has become a mundane but, at the same time, chaotic lifestyle full of unnecessary drama and craziness that comes from living in the same place with the same people, with no variety and very little to stimulate my mind and inspire the writing projects that are crying out for my attention. Whew! Run-on sentences aside, my thought has been about travel, new environments and meeting relatively (although not completely) sane people, as we all wear our masks and sanitize our hands 50 times a day, thinking this would work wonders for me - saving me from my rut, boredom, and perhaps putting to use some of those brain cells that have packed up and gone home (wherever that may be), while at the same time making myself useful and helpful to other people. You must think I'm nuttier than a fruitcake, thinking such things in he middle of a devastating and heartbreaking pandemic. But you're on here... reading this. So..... The point is that I believe that I can watch over your house, treat it as my own, keep it safe and happy, and follow CDC protocols to keep it COVID-19 free. I have not been tested. My doctor has never seen any signs of the virus and my exposure to it unlikely so hasn't deemed it all that important. I don't fit the profile of the "vulnerable" group. However, there is NO WAY I would show up at your door without having been tested and cleared of the virus. And in the best of times, I pretty much make people stay at LEAST 6 feet away from me, anyway So, if you need someone to come out and watch over your house, pets, plants, horses (love to ride and care for them) or any other animal since I love them all, count me in. I am up for cold weather, hot weather, mountains or beaches, farms, barns, you name it, I'm up for it. Just gotta have some peace. The only thing I could not do is short stints here and there if they are substantially more than a maybe 300 miles away and only for a couple of weeks. I am willing to go ANYWHERE in the country for longer periods of times and travel INTERNATIONALLY for even longer stays. In these cases, I would most likely need a bit of help with travel expenses, I'm afraid. Maybe just a tad? I do have financial resources but, ya know..... Let me know if you think I can help. BTW. My pics are of New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge (#99) since I'm a huge baseball fan in general and the craziest, scariest Yankees fanatic you'll ever meet in your lifetime, and of a Mardi Gras float in New Orleans where I lived for over 10 years until after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. I used to live in NYC, too. I taught English and did some theatre in both NOLA and NYC, on the performing and producing side, but mostly as a writer. I also was a freelance journalist, too. But I didn't like being held down by the truth so dumped it. I like to make things up. I'm a story teller. So that's quite enough about me. Boring myself, even. So signing off.
