House Sitter in Vancouver, British Columbia

About me --------------- I'm Paul and I am 32 years old and from Scotland. I am currently travelling in North America at the moment in between working remotely as a film festival director- I run a mid sized festival back in Scotland every April and tend to travel in the "off-season". I have lots of experience house sitting for friends & family back home and I am very pet loving & friendly- I would definitely own a dog or a cat if I wasnt travelling for half the year! I have been a very respectful sitter in the past and I am grateful for the opportunity to house sit. Before working for film festivals, I spent 5 years working as an Environmental Project Officer / Researcher for NGOs / Charities working towards solutions for climate change both locally and nationally in Scotland. Working in the environment reflects my passion for the outdoors as I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, sailing & canoeing- and spend most of my spare time doing these hobbies. I originally trained as a doctor however I never practiced medicine. I still have a keen interest in medical research and an interest in alternative medicine- accupuncture, homeopathy etc. Why I want to house sit --------------------------------- For me, I feel its an ideal exchange- sometimes I need a place to stay for a week so I have time to catch up on work & emails and in exchange I am more than happy to look after pets and take dogs out for walks- I do alot of hiking as it is, so its a perfect excuse anyway! My experience ----------------------- I worked for a year on a remote farm in Scotland looking after sheep, cows, dogs and cats. I have also house sit for friends back home in Scotland when they have been away visiting family- so have lots of experience looking after dogs & cats. Our family also has a labrador which I look after whenever I am back home in Glasgow
