House Sitter in Harbor City, California

I am now retired, a widower, who is in very good health. I am used to taking charge in my household, as I raised my two sons after their Mom passed away while they were still in grade school. I must have done some things right, as they are two fine, young men, one of whom is married and has a wife and a toddler. We seem to communicate well with each other. I grew up in Niagara Falls, NY where many of my relatives still reside. I have lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years and I own a condo in the Harbor City section of LA (It is next to Torrance and Carson ad Gardena). My two sons live in the area, also. My nephew and his wife live in Pasadena. I have also lived in Milwaukee where I attended graduate school; Palm Bay, FL where I lived with my wife and our two sons and my in-laws in a really nice, new home; Washington, DC and Reston, VA when I worked for the US Department of Defense as a Cartographer; Miami, FL; Blacksburg, VA; Salt Lake City, one summer a long time ago; and for a month back in 2008 in Mt. Vernon, NY taking care of a blind friend. My employment has included Social Worker, Teacher, small business owner (on-line sales), Tutor, Extra work for the film industry, Cartographer, and Caregiver. I like to hike, swim, watch movies, especially old ones, and visit. In house sitting, I prefer to have to take care of animals while there. I am considered very reliable, conscientious, a problem-solver, and rather personable. I watch carefully what I eat and I do some exercises daily, including some jump roping. I can provide many references and . please, keep in mind, because of the professional positions I have held, I have been Live Scanned (fingerprinted) many, many times, and when I worked for the DOD, I received my Top Secret Security Clearance (that took 2 1/2 years to get. Let me tell you, they check everything!) I especially like dogs. We had a Maltese poodle mix for nearly 18 years. For 3 years I used to take Junior to a retirement home in Santa Monica every Sunday for the enjoyment of the residents. He really helped us a lot after my wife died by just giving us unconditional love.
