House Sitter in Asheville, North Carolina

I am a retired ESL Teacher and my husband spent most of his professional life in educational theatre. He has many home maintenance skills: light carpentry, furnace maintenance, painting etc.. I manage our home and a small business and will happily do light housekeeping, gardening, cooking, etc. We own a home in rural Vermont and are comfortable with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits - small animals and birds. (We've also lived in cities). We'd like to find short term opportunities to be near Asheville or Highlands NC where our children have an architecture firm - and three of our grandchildren. We'd prefer a smaller house or cottage, and we have an easygoing, elderly Australian shepherd that we'd prefer to bring along. She's very well behaved and perfectly content to share space with cats and children. We are in good health, and can provide excellent references.
