House Sitter in Petaluma, California

Hi there, I'm Laurie, a retired grandmother who spends my most of my days with my granddaughter and grand-dog. I recently moved down to Historic Petaluma from Oregon to help my daughter & son in-law with the baby. I would love to house sit to fill my days and get to know the North Bay Area better. About me: I have a BA in marketing, a degree in watershed management, and spent my professional career as a HR executive for one of the country's largest home builders. I am a non-drinker, non-smoker, and have references available upon request. I grew up in a ranching family, and owned a hobby farm when my girls were growing up in Northern California (near Tahoe). As such, I am well-versed in large and small animal training and husbandry, including basic and advanced behavioral management approaches (aka "obedience training") for large and small animals. I have owned (and administered medications/first-aid to): dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, most rodents, reptiles and birds. Who I'd like to help: I am happy to work with anyone in need of property watching, pet or animal care, or garden/yard caretaking. I enjoy gardening, and am a Master Gardener. I am happy to tend to your garden or simply give your houseplants some love. I own an SUV, and am happy to take dogs on adventure hikes or to the beach.
