House Sitter in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

As a lifetime resident of the Soo, I know travelling is important. Most of our friends have moved to southern Ontario or the US, and just recently our two sons have moved away also. Leaving our home empty for a few days is fine, but my wife and I are still uncomfortable being away for an extended amount of time. So I know how you feel. My 5 bedroom home on Queen street is on a large lot with lots of trees, lots of flowers, some vegetables and a huge driveway. I maintain my own property using my riding mower and snow blower, but also spend the time and effort it takes to careful finish each job manually with shovels and hand tools. I have completely renovated our last two homes on my own, including all of the plumbing and electricals. I dealt with leaky basements, replaced sump pumps and emptied out a few rodent traps. My wife is still working so for the past couple years I have been taken over the indoor chores too. Over watering plants is the greatest danger! If you want to be away from your home for an extended period of time, you should feel comfortable that I would take care of your home as if it were mine. I almost forgot to mention that we also spend a lot of time at our camp east of the Soo. So I could house sit as far away as Desbarats.
