Hello, my name is Glena. I am honest freelance caretaker in Houston. I'm a former painting contractor & I often became the house sitter, plant and animal (cats, dogs, fish) minder while my clients went on vacation. I'm looking for a live in care taking job either part time or full time in Houston or Huntsville I've been a caregiver for a man for 3.75 years until his death at age 100.75 yrs. I cleaned his home, cooked for him. I went above and beyond and maintained the property by doing small maintenance jobs like installing new outside light fixtures, door knobs and locks. (I had permission from his daughter to make the purchases and was compensated extra for these tasks). My video documentation of a hail storm provided opportunity for owner to get new roofing at $2000 less than his deductible and saved him more than $16,000 for the new roof. I worked with his Home Owner’s Association regarding the required house painting and some carpentry work. Got 4 estimates and picked a contractor with excellent skills and lowest price saving homeowner over $5000. I have cared for many breeds of dogs from pit bull's & doberman's to Chihuahua's & Pomeranian's. I have also cared for cats, fish and parrots over the years. I can send texts and videos of the pet's antic's 2-4 times a week to keep you connected with your furry friends if you'd like that. I love gardening and will water plants as often as you require. I do not mow lawns, I am allergic to grass and there are people better able to do that than I am.
