OVERVIEW: HELLO! Thanks for stopping by to learn more about us and considering us to care for your home and animal family. A little about us… We met doing Karaoke in a bar in Long Beach, CA and were married 8 weeks later. Now, we’ve been married 27 years and what an adventure it’s been. Together we’ve raised 2 sons, owned property/rental property, built businesses, and enjoyed the companionship of many kinds of animals. Now we’re housesitting our way around the world, have great references, and would love to meet you. We are non-smoking, experienced, committed and trusted house sitters offering home and pet care, along with mail collection, plant and lawn care for a long weekend or weeks at a time. No flakes here, when we make a commitment you can trust it! OUR BIOS: Matt grew up in New Jersey, spent summers in Florida, served in the Marine Corps and has always had the ability to fix anything he sets his wrench to. In addition to managing our businesses and rental properties, he’s worked as a maintenance technician for a property management company, including on-call emergency duty. There is no emergency he can’t handle, because he’s seen every emergency that could possibly happen. On top of that he’s never met an animal he didn’t love, and they love him right back. I’m pretty sure he speaks dog, cat, fish and horse. Linda grew up in Southern California, started her first business at the age of 23 and then started a non-profit organization. The majority of Linda’s career was spent helping people secure employment through the efforts of the non-profit and teaching at the local community college. She’s no stranger to a hammer either, as Matt and Linda have completed several renovation projects together. In addition to growing up with all types of pets, Linda spent a significant amount of time around horses in her younger years. We both grew up with many pets… cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, fish, a parakeet and a ferret. And while cats and dogs have always been a significant part of our lives, fish have also been a constant. From building a fresh water pond full of fish in the backyard to saltwater tanks in the living room, our skills are well versed. Over the past five years we’ve built a successful career coaching business and have the freedom to work from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. With the kids grown up and an empty nest, we're off to see the world. We enjoyed the companionship of a cat for 22 years and a dog for 13 and we’d love to have another pet… but a traveling life style doesn’t really make that possible. House sitting is the perfect option for us to see the world and enjoy the company of animals. We’d love to care for your pets and your home while you enjoy worry-free travel. Your property is our priority! DESCRIPTION OF SKILLS: CARING FOR YOUR HOME… Your home will be in the hands of a handyman. Not only did Matt work as a maintenance technician for a rental property company fixing everything from a leaky sink to rebuilding a foundation, but we also owned our own homes and rental property. Together we have built a 2-car garage, decks and completed countless renovations of our own and for friends. Matt spent his summers taking care of pools in Florida, so if you have a pool, we’ve got you covered.
