House Sitter in Saint Augustine, Florida

Application: Hello, my name is Abby. My husband, Jonid, and I are moving to Saint Augustine with plans to buy a home in the area, close to his family. As home-buying is a long process, we're hoping to find a house minder position in Saint Augustine, Florida while we get to know the area better. We are newlyweds looking to start a life together, so we will treat your home like our own; we are tidy, respectful, conscientious, ethical, animal-loving individuals who would make ideal candidates. Jonid is from Albania and I am from Ohio. Since Jonid arrived in the US a few months ago, we have been living with my disabled father and helping my mother care for the home/lawn and dog while she works. Perhaps our parents are a little biased, but they would be our best reference for house sitting experience! I am a full-time Medical Writer who works remotely, so Jonid and I would be home everyday. Our availability is flexible and because this is mutually beneficial, our fee is negotiable. Please note that Jonid and I are in the process of applying for his greencard, so he cannot legally be paid for his services until he receives his Work Authorization Permit (date TBD). Our immigration lawyer said this arrangement would be permissible as long as all payment is in my name (a written statement from our lawyer can be provided upon request). So you can think of us as a 2-for-1 deal (2 people for the price of 1). Services And Training: We are comfortable doing plant watering, mail collecting, lawn mowing, lite landscaping (with permission from homeowner), house cleaning, managing potential property repairs with outside contractors if/when applicable (authorized by homeowner only), and basically any routine chores that you would do for your own house (to be specified by the homeowner). Further, we have experience training dogs (not professionally), and although we don't have any pets of our own at the moment, we can't wait to love yours! We have no previous professional experience house or animal sitting, but cumulatively we have months (if not years) of house/dog sitting for family and friends.
