House Sitter in San Diego, California

Do you need a reliable house sitter? I'm looking for house sitting jobs from January through March of 2019, primarily in San Diego. Since I was a professional caregiver for over 20 years, I was given a clean criminal record report, routinely tested for TB and earned CPR and First Aid accreditation. My son lives in San Diego, so it would be great to be close to him all winter. He also owns the home in the Pocono Mts. of NE PA, where I live most of the year. It never gets too warm up at the lake, and now that I'm older, I've found warmth is the key to my comfort. My dad died recently, at age 97. I had been his caregiver through four years of slow decline from dementia and aphasia, although I have lived in his and my mother's house (now my son's) since 2000, carrying the dual roles of homemaker and professional caregiver until I was forced into retirement by dad's dementia. After mom died in 2005 at 84, I was the sole homemaker and caregiver for dad, dogs, and their lovely retirement home in the Poconos. What this adds up to is a highly-qualified house sitter. To stay warm, I am willing and able to take excellent care of pets, plants, and relatives left behind. I love mowing lawns, walking dogs, tending gardens, taking in mail or papers or whatever needs to be done in a homeowner's absence. As a 71-year-old single grandmother, it's thinking young and staying active (yoga, hiking, biking, etc.) that enable me to still do things like drive across the country to visit my "kids" and find a reliably consistent source of warmth.
