House Sitter in Berkeley, California

We are a 45-years-married couple of pet lovers looking for a house to live in and tend for all or part of December and/or January while we visit our children and grandchildren in Berkeley. They live near Tilden Park and go to school at MLK and Berkeley High. For a few winters we took care of pets in two different homes consecutively. We are a retired Virginia Tech statistics professor and a retired, natural-food-store manager and massage therapist from Blacksburg, Virginia. We have visited Berkeley for most of the past 15 winters. Each winter we drive across country from our home in Virginia staying with relatives and friends in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, Boise, and in motels elsewhere. On the way back east we take the southern route, via friends and relatives in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles (I attended UCLA), Tucson, and Houston.
